I MADE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, I made it through the Designer Darling Challenge and am now officially an STS designer!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!!! I can't begin to tell you all how excited I am! :) There is a really fun group of new designers and we are busily getting our stores up and running for you! You can check out my (not-very-full-yet) new store here.

There are so many changes happening at STS right now in addition to the new designers, there is a whole new forum (sorry, you have to register again, but trust me, it's totally worth it!). The forum and gallery are now linked, making it easier to find people's work and you are going to love some of the fun new things happening over there. Check it out:
Also, you have to stop over by the Stuff To Scrap forum & chat room tomorrow, March 1st. The new Designer Darlings will officially be announced and we are having a Meet & Greet. Random prize drawings will be held throughout the day for people hanging out with us in the chat room.

The day will end with The Scrappy Kat hosting a Speed Scrap that night and below is the participation prize.

It's that time again! "Backyard Fort" Add-On

"Backyard Fort"

Well, it's all over but the shoutin'. Or judging as the case may be. I have finished my entry for the final round of the Designer Darling competition at STS and am breathing a big sigh of relief! This was way more stress than I expected! LOL! I've done some full-sized kits before, but never with pressure!

Fortunately, I love the result!

"Backyard Fort" is the perfect kit for all of you with boys and tomboys who love to play outside and build things! It includes lots of fun elements like trees with tire swings, ropes, hardware, leaves, animals, duct tape, ladders, fort plans, and more! Signs for boys and girls are included, as well as boy/girl doodles in skin/clothes colors not shown in the preview. You like the little girl? She's my favorite, modeled after my 'baby' sis - who's getting married at the end of this year - yikes!

I have a fun new kit to share with you today. The Scrappy Kat and Scraps of Ellay teamed up to create a great boy kit called "Dude!" - aren't we always in need of more boyish stuff? - and while really I suppose it's intended for teenage boys, I think it's perfect for big and little boys alike (I did a layout of my husband and toddler and one of my toddler and father-in-law!). Happy Valentine's Weekend!

Happy Valentine's weekend! I hope you all have a great weekend planned, whatever that may mean for you! For our family, it's going to mean spending the weekend having fun together; no fancy plans! If you've got kiddos around for Valentine's Day this year, you're going to love this new kit by JW-Digiscraps. It definitely all about the love, but with a child's focus. Sneak Peek

Well, I feel like it's been next to forever since I showed you anything about the Designer Darling competition over at STS. Things moved so quickly the first four weeks that having two weeks to complete this final kit seems like an eternity! LOL!

So, just for those of you who faithfully read my blog, here's a little sneak peek at what I've been working on the past few days. It's coming together, but I still have a long way to go before I'm willing to call it quits. You can see several of the elements here though. I'm really hoping you guys like it. I know it's a kit I will definitely be using! :)

Stunned!

I made it! I made it! I am so excited about the Designer Darling Contest! I found out last night and had to keep myself from squealing and waking up the munchkin!

There were so many amazing designers that I am just in awe that I made it to the final round! Thanks to everyone who voted ~ ya'll rock!

Speaking of the final round, our challenge is to create a full-sized kit - and that's the extent of the guidance! We can choose whatever theme and colors we want and use any CU items. I'm pretty excited, but also nervous beyond belief! LOL!

I'm pretty sure I have an idea for a kit and I think you're going to love it, so be sure to check back here soon. The kits are due on the 18th, but I'll hopefully have it up for you before that and I'll definitely have a sneak peek for ya before then!

"Meant To Be" Valentine's Kit

Okay, I have to admit, I'm SO not a pink person! Bet ya couldn't have guessed that, huh? :)

However, I'm totally in love with this new collab kit by Scraps by Andrea and The Scrappy Kat called "Meant To Be". I can't get enough of the bright cheery colors and cute elements. It's a Valentine kit that not over-the-top girly! Yay!!! Thanks so much gals!

"Camping Essentials" CU Freebie

So here's my next entry for the STS Designer Darling Competition. We were tasked to photograph and extract three elements. I decided that since I intend to create a camping kit and elements for this seem to be few and far between that I would just make my own and make them available to all of you as well!
